Pakistani Caste System

In history you read about the Hindu cast system which was prevalent in subcontinent for more than a century but few realizes the fact that though it has been abolished decades ago it still exits in our mind. It exits because now instead of using Brahmin or Shudra we use other labeling terms but their basis is the same, MONEY and only MONEY.

What’s so ironical is that though we may advocate against it publicly, privaltely we tend to categorize people in this term or unintentionally be part of groups who discriminate people on this basis or create relationships whose determining factor is money. This discrimination is discernible sometimes and obscured at other times. But it does exits in society even in the most educated class.

It is very difficult to completely abolish the caste system as it will sprout out with new names. Different economic classes will always exits in society and no economic system has ever been devised which can boast of complete eradication of unequal distribution of wealth. The discrimination is not the issue rather the treatment extended by each class to another is root of trouble.

The treatment of one class to another becomes a problem when it humiliates people spiritually as history is a witness to it when Hindu caste system was abolished in 1960’s primarily due to violence generated due to spiritual humiliation of people. When the basis for discrimination is monetary then a person associates certain characteristic with each class which sometimes can be misleading as each class has its share of good and bad people. A person with high level of education can be as corrupt as the labor with primary or nill education though the percentage of such people can differ in each class. Similarly a labor can be as honest as any highly educated and rich person. Therefore, one cannot judge anyone on the basis of wealth rather each person has the right to be judged on what they are.

If you try to judge some one on the basis of what they are as a person then it will not only abolish the growing caste system attitude but will also help you, as you will be able to find people who are true friends and who can be depended upon no matter where the future takes you.

Let’s make life easy for others and for ourselves as “Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone else's life forever”.

Life: A True "Terra Incognita"

Sometimes life shows you such unpredictable facet that you cant help but think if the life you have spent so far is a sham or if you can ever be sure of any part of your life .I know it sounds really philosophical but sometimes the philosophy is so true to life that you cant help meditating on it .

Well what forced me to meditate on this was the drama called “Karb”.It was one of objet d'art in dramatic world. The main theme of the drama was something like this :A woman takes an orphan girl in her home and later the girl gets engaged to her brother. However it seemed the destiny had stored for the woman something she could have never ever dreamt of. The girl falls in love with the woman’s husband and he also gets infatuated with the girl. The drama ended with the girl and woman’s husband living in the house married and the woman in the mental hospital.

The most ironic thing is that this drama is not based on fiction rather narrates a true story that occurred in real life. This is not one of its kinds rather an example of many such identical stories. Most people can relate to this story as many men do this. There are such cases in which wives found out after decades of marriage that their husbands were already married, or had an affair, serious enough to lead to marriage. This is so common that people have forgotten to take notice of it rather this has become part of everyday. However this is never part of everyday life for the people who go through this.

An instant can alter life forever. This truly depicts the image of those who suffer from it. The sense of belonging and security is destroyed and they can never be the same again. Imagine if you were the person who came to know that the person with whom you have spent your half life has been leading another life for ages. Just the thought is enough to scare the hell out of you and if you think about the children. ...What would be there reaction?? Would they be ever able to say that "Our dad loves us so much" or even think this .NO NO NEVER ......................cause they will be always be insecure about their position in their father's life.

I hope that this never happens to anyone and even if some people have the misfortune to face it they are able to come out of it gracefully.
